Every once in a while someone pisses me off or is nasty. Karma
Lingenfelter – As I have said more than once here, the guys in the shop did a pretty good job. It wasnt easy. The assholes in the office are another matter. When I got my car back, there were five places where bird shit was left to sit on it to the point it needed paint correction. It has a GPS tracker on is (with temp) and I could clearly see when it was inside based on the location and the temp. It was not put inside every night for the 7 months it was there..
7 months for engine work… yep. Despite putting money down and signing the contract, they didnt really have a place in line for it. When the body work was done, they had cashed the check and forgotten about the project. It shows up and sits for 3 months before they even touch it. I see the battery slowly go dead and it pushed around in the shop. When they hit a wall, they just stopped working on it and pushed it into a corner. It took me threatening to come to Indiana to get them to do something.. They effed up the paint and some other things and I had to pay to ship it back to Washington to be touched up.
South East Auto Trim wanted nearly 7k to remove and replace the dash. The have no idea what they are talking about and I wouldnt go back.
Kings Customs wasnt even interested so they told be “prolly 10k if you want it done right”. Apparently he has enough work.
WestCoast Corvette – they are douche bags of douche bags. Sold me brake rotors but failed to say what they fit and didnt fit. When I had them put on, the mechanic said, “I put them on but they are just a little bit smaller than the ones that came off, hope that’s ok”. When you buy rotors from most sites, it will tell you not only what they fit but what they don’t fit. Brembo and Willlwood are both very good at this … Baher is great at it.
I bought some “Chromium” rotors from WCC. I expected them to be back chrome (they offer red, blue and silver as well) but what I got was spray pained rotors.
When I called “Customer Service” I was told “Fuck you – you put them on, you own them”. Wow. The car didn’t roll a foot – its still sitting in the garage. The could have cared less regarding the quality (shitty to say the least) or customer service.
While the ad does say no returns, they have a return policy – on the same page.
Buyer Beware…
